Ingredients
- 3 pounds Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced, plus more, to taste, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
Directions
Step 1 -In a slow cooker, add 3 pounds of the sliced Honeycrisp apples, the cornstarch, the brown sugar, the granulated sugar, the cinnamon, the vanilla, the butter, and the lemon juice and mix until the apples are well-coated.
Step 2 -Cover the slow cooker and cook on high until the apples are tender, about 2 hours.
Step 3 -Garnish with the extra freshly sliced apples and serve.
