Ingredients

  • 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider
  • 1 vanilla bean, split

Directions

Step 1 -In a saucepan over medium-low heat, add the cranberries, the sugar, the bourbon, the apple cider, and the split vanilla bean and stir to combine.

Step 2 -Bring the cranberry mixture to a simmer and cook until the cranberries begin to break down and the mixture thickens slightly, about 15 minutes.

Step 3 -Transfer the cranberry mixture from the heat and allow it to cool and thicken.

Step 4 -Just before serving, remove and discard the vanilla bean.

Step 5 -Serve.
