Ingredients

  • 1 (1 1/4-pound) center-cut salmon, cut into 4 fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest, plus 3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • fresh parsley, optional, to taste, finely chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2 -Arrange the salmon fillets in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 -Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel and season evenly with the salt.

Step 4 -In a medium bowl, add the orange zest, the orange juice, the maple syrup, the mustard, the paprika, and the ginger and mix well to combine.

Step 5 -Spoon or brush the orange mixture over the salmon fillets.

Step 6 -Divide the pecans evenly over each of the fillets, gently pressing them in to adhere to the salmon.

Step 7 -Bake the fillets until they flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 8 -Serve garnished with the fresh parsley.
