Essentially, the biscuits soak in butter, ensuring each bite is golden and extra tender! Nothing is more buttery than Butter-Soaked Biscuits... well, unless you add butter to these already-perfect biscuits. And how can you not?

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, plus more, to taste, for serving
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • honey, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 -In an 8x8 square baking dish, add 2 sticks of the butter.

Step 3 -Place the baking pan in the oven and allow the butter to melt, about 4-5 minutes. Make sure not to let the butter brown.

Step 4 -In a bowl, add the flour, the sugar, the baking powder, and the salt and whisk to combine.

Step 5 -Add the buttermilk to the flour mixture and use a wooden spoon to mix until thoroughly combined into a batter.

Step 6 -Add the batter to the baking pan, pouring it on top of the melted butter and spreading it out evenly.

Step 7 -Bake until the bscuits are golden-brown, about 18-20 minutes.

Step 8 -Serve immediately with the extra butter and the honey.
