Experiencing the citrusy, cinnamon-y nectar always makes your heart sing, and feeling the warmth as it flows down your throat gives you a nostalgic tingle unlike anything else. Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cinnamon stick, plus more, to taste, for garnish
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- ground nutmeg, to taste
- 1 large orange, quartered, with peel intact
- 2 quarts apple cider
Directions
Step 1 -Place a filter in the basket of an automatic coffee maker.
Step 2 -Add the brown sugar, 1 of the cinnamon sticks, the cloves, the allspice, the salt, and the nutmeg to the basket.
Step 3 -Top the sugar and spice mixture with the orange wedges.
Step 4 -Pour the apple cider into the water reservoir of the coffee maker.
Step 5 -Brew.
Step 6 -Serve hot and garnished with the extra cinnamon sticks.
