Troll Popcorn isn't ugly as the name might suggest! Instead, it's a fairytale of a treat that children of all ages will love (and perhaps your inner child most of all)! It's basically a rice cereal treat made with crunchy popcorn. The crispy corn puffs are bonded together with a sweet marshmallow mixture and sprinkled with candy-coated chocolates! The colors are perfectly whimsical and enchanting! Troll Popcorn casts a spell on your taste buds... a spell of sweetness!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups popcorn, popped, unpopped kernels removed
  • salt, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons salted sweet cream butter
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • blue pretzel M&M's®, to taste, can substitute color of your choice
  • pink, purple, and teal M&M's, to taste, can substitute color of your choice
  • pink, purple, and teal sprinkles, to taste, can substitute color of your choice

Directions

Step 1 -Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Step 2 -In a large bowl, add the popcorn and the salt and toss to coat.

Step 3 -In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, while stirring occasionally.

Step 4 -Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir to combine.

Step 5 -Cook and stir the marshmallow mixture just until all of the marshmallows are melted.

Step 6 -Immediately transfer the saucepan from the heat.

Step 7 -Slowly pour about 1/3 of the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and gently fold to combine.

Step 8 -Continue to add the marshmallow mixture, a little at a time, to the popcorn and fold between the additions until all of the marshmallow mixture is incorporated into the popcorn.

Step 9 -Pour the popcorn mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet and spread it out evenly.

Step 10 -Add the pretzel M&M's, the M&M's, and the sprinkles to the warm popcorn mixture.

Step 11 -Allow the popcorn mixture to cool.

Step 12 -Break the popcorn mixture into pieces and serve.
