Ingredients

  • For the meatballs:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha

Directions

Step 1 -Combine the beef, the pork, the breadcrumbs, the onion, the parsley, the eggs, the salt, and the pepper in a large bowl and mix until combined.

Step 2 -Using a tablespoon measure, scoop and roll the meat mixture into small meatballs. It should yield about 45 meatballs.

Step 3 -Whisk the chili sauce, the apricot preserves, the soy sauce, and the sriracha together in a slow cooker.

Step 4 -Remove 1/2 cup of the sauce and set it aside.

Step 5 -Nestle the meatballs in the sauce in the slow cooker in two layers.

Step 7 -Cover the slow cooker and cook on high until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce is thick, about 4 hours. Gently stir the meatballs halfway through to ensure even coating.

Step 8 -Serve.
