- 1 (2-pound) pork tenderloin
- orange slices, to taste
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a large baking sheet.
Step 3 -Arrange the tenderloin on the baking sheet with the orange slices tucked under the edges.
Step 4 -Season the tenderloin with the salt and the pepper.
Step 5 -In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring the orange juice, the brown sugar, the garlic, and the Italian seasoning to a boil.
Step 6 -Season with the salt and the pepper.
Step 7 -Reduce the heat to low and simmer until reduced by half, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 8 -Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
Step 9 -Bake until the pork is cooked to just shy of 145 degrees F internally, about 35 minutes.
Step 10 -Switch the oven to broil and cook until the glaze caramelizes and the pork reaches 145 degrees F internally, about 5 minutes.
