KitKat® Cookie Pie! Why didn't anyone think of this before! It's so brilliant! It's basically two layers of chocolate chip cookies sandwiching a melty, gooey chocolate-hazelnut spread in the center. And of course, the classic crunchy candy bar is mixed in too for the full candy store feeling! KitKat Cookie Pie is all the good stuff from your candy jar in a cookie... and that cookie is also a pie because restraint is for things that aren't dessert!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, partially melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup, optional, can substitute maple syrup
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 4 (4-bar) packets KitKat bars, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup Nutella®, plus more, to taste, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 9-inch round pie dish.

Step 3 -In a bowl, add the butter, the brown sugar, and the granulated sugar and beat to combine.

Step 4 -Add the eggs to the butter mixture, 1 at a time, and beat after each addition.

Step 5 -Add the vanilla and the golden syrup to the butter mixture and beat to combine.

Step 6 -Add the flour, the baking powder, and the salt to the butter mixture and mix until just combined into a dough.

Step 7 -Add the chocolate chips and the KitKat pieces to the dough and fold to combine.

Step 8 -Add 1/2 of the dough to the bottom of the prepared pie dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 9 -Add 1 cup of the Nutella to the dough layer in the pie dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 10 -Top the Nutella layer with the remaining dough, spreading it out evenly.

Step 11 -Bake until the middle is still wobbly but the outside is turning golden, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 12 -Serve warm garnished with the extra Nutella.
