Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 (2-pound) flank steak
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
Step 1 -In a large baking dish, add the oil, the Worcestershire sauce, the red wine vinegar, and the brown sugar and whisk to combine.
Step 2 -Place the steak in the marinade mixture, then flip it a few times to evenly coat it on all sides.
Step 3 -Transfer the baking dish to the refrigerator and allow the steak to marinate, about 30 minutes.
Step 4 -Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Step 5 -Transfer the steak to a plate and pat it dry. Discard the remaining marinade.
Step 6 -Evenly sprinkle the steak with the salt and the pepper.
Step 7 -Place the seasoned steak on the grill over direct heat and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of at least 130 degrees F for medium-rare, about 3-5 minutes per side.
Step 8 -Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest until it reaches 135 degrees F for medium-rare, about 5 minutes.
Step 9 -Use a sharp knife to slice the steak against the grain.
Step 10 -Serve.
