Nothing says "thanks for being a great father" than our Father-In-Law's Casserole! Layers upon layers of tender, cheesy ravioli, rich, vibrant pasta sauce, and so much cheese. So, so much cheese! Melty, sharp, creamy cheese, just as cheesy as all your father-in-law's jokes! Mmm, Father-In-Law's Casserole is a delicious sign of appreciation!

Ingredients

  • 1 (20-ounce) package refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 3 1/2 cups pasta sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups small-curd 4% cottage cheese
  • 4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • fresh parsley, optional, to taste, minced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the raviolis to al dente, according to the package directions.

Step 3 -Drain the raviolis.

Step 4 -In a 9x13-inch baking dish, add 1 cup of the pasta sauce and spread it out evenly.

Step 5 -Add 1/2 of the raviolis to the baking dish, layering them out evenly.

Step 6 -Add 1 1/4 cups of the pasta sauce to the baking dish, spread it out evenly on top of the ravioli layer.

Step 7 -Add half of the cottage cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta sauce layer in the baking dish, spreading the cheeses out evenly.

Step 8 -Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining raviolis and ending with the remaining cottage cheese and the remaining mozzarella cheese.

Step 9 -Sprinkle the top of the casserole with the parmesan cheese.

Step 10 -Bake, uncovered, until bubbly and the cheese is melted, about 30-40 minutes.

Step 11 -Let the casserole stand for 5-10 minutes.

Step 12 -Serve garnished with the parsley.
