Ingredients
- For the pasta:
- 8 ounces fettuccine
- 1 (10.75-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
- 1 (4.5-ounce) jar mushrooms, drained and sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 2 1/2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
- For the topping:
- 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
Step 3 -In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the fettuccine to al dente, according to the package directions. Drain and set it aside.
Step 4 -In a large pot over medium heat, add the cream of mushroom soup, the cream cheese, the mushrooms, the heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup of the butter, and the garlic powder and stir to combine.
Step 5 -Add 3/4 cup of the parmesan cheese, the mozzarella cheese, and the Swiss cheese to the sauce mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until melted.
Step 6 -Add the chicken to the sauce mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until heated through.
Step 7 -Add the fettuccine to the chicken mixture and stir to combine.
Step 8 -Evenly add the fettuccine mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 9 -In a small bowl, add the breadcrumbs, the remaining melted butter, and the remaining parmesan cheese and stir to combine.
Step 10 -Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the fettuccine mixture.
Step 11 -Cover the baking dish and bake, about 25 minutes.
Step 12 -Uncover and bake until golden-brown, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
