You could go to your local burger joint for a hot, fresh burger. But a homemade Bacon Cheeseburger will beat any burger in terms of juiciness, fattiness, indulgence, and depth of flavor! With ground beef infused with seasonings and sauces atop a toasted bun, you don’t need any toppings on your Bacon Cheeseburger (unless you want them)! Get ready to be amazed by how quickly this mouthwatering marvel is ready to eat!
Ingredients
- 8 bacon strips
- 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon steak sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- lettuce leaves, optional, for topping
- tomato, optional, for topping
- onion, optional, for topping
- pickle slices, optional, for topping
Directions
Step 1 -In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp.
Step 2 -Combine the onion, ketchup, garlic, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, and cider vinegar in a bowl.
Step 3 -Add the ground beef to the bowl and massage it gently with your hands, ultimately shaping the mixture into 4 hamburger patties.
Step 4 -Cook the patties over medium heat, covered, for 4-7 minutes on each side.
Step 5 -Top the patties with the cheddar cheese and grill until the cheese melts, about 1 minute.
Step 6 -Serve the burgers on the buns with the bacon and the toppings of your choice.
