Yes, nestled in between all that delicious smoky-sweet cinnamon sugar is maple-glazed bacon slices for that succulent, crispy endorphin hit! Your taste buds will be thrilled that it's Sunday and you are treating them to something special!
Ingredients
- 10 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, plus more, to taste, for topping
- 1 (17.5-ounce, 5-count) can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- cinnamon, to taste, for topping
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat an 8x12-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon slices and cook, turning them once halfway through, until they are slightly crispy, about 5 minutes.
Step 4 -Brush the bacon slices evenly with 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup and allow the bacon to cook until the syrup thickens, about 30 seconds.
Step 5 -Separate the cinnamon rolls, reserving the icing packet, and unroll them.
Step 6 -Place 2 slices of the glazed bacon, end-to-end, on each of the unrolled cinnamon rolls. Break the bacon as needed to fit.
Step 7 -Reroll the cinnamon rolls.
Step 8 -Place the bacon-stuffed cinnamon rolls in the prepared baking dish, swirl-side up.
Step 9 -Bake until the cinnamon rolls are golden and no longer doughy, about 25-30 minutes.
Step 10 -Drizzle the warm cinnamon buns with the reserved icing.
Step 11 -Serve the cinnamon buns warm and topped with the extra maple syrup and the cinnamon.
