- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Directions
Step 1 -Season the pork chops evenly with the salt and the black pepper.
Step 2 -In a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, add the pork chops in a single layer and cook until browned on one side, about 4 minutes.
Step 3 -Flip the pork chops and cook until lightly browned on the reverse side, about 1 minute.
Step 4 -Reduce the heat to medium and allow the pork chops to cook, uncovered, until they reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees F, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5 -Transfer the pork chops to a plate and immediately tent them with foil.
Step 6 -Allow the pork chops to rest until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, about 5 minutes.
Step 7 -In the same pan used to cook the pork, over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 8 -Add the garlic to the melted butter and cook, while stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 9 -Add the chicken broth, the brown sugar, the honey, the paprika, and the cayenne pepper to the garlic mixture and whisk to combine.
Step 10 -Cook the sauce until it is reduced by half, about 3-5 minutes.
Step 11 -Add the pork chops to the sauce and cook until warmed through, while spooning the sauce over the chops.
Step 12 -Serve.
