Now it sounds too good to be true. One-Pan Tortellini with Sausage is in fact better than it sounds: an herby, luscious, hearty meal that you can whip up without breaking a sweat. Ingredients
- 11 ounces Italian sausage, ground or links with the casing removed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach, loosely packed
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- parmesan cheese, to taste, freshly grated, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until it's browned.
Step 2 -Drain the fat and leave the sausage in the pan.
Step 3 -Add the garlic, the chicken broth, the diced tomatoes and their juices, the heavy cream, and the tortellini.
Step 4 -Cook until the tortellini is cooked through and the sauce has reduced to your desired thickness, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 5 -Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.
Step 6 -Season with the salt and the pepper and stir to combine.
Step 7 -Serve topped with the parmesan.
