Ingredients

  • 12 slices white bread
  • 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 -Evenly line 6 slices of the white bread in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4 -Layer 1/2 of the ham slices over the bread layer and sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheddar cheese.

Step 5 -Repeat the layers once, starting with the bread slices and ending with the cheese.

Step 6 -In a large bowl, add the eggs, the milk, the dry mustard, the onion powder, the salt, and the black pepper and whisk well to combine.

Step 7 -Slowly pour the egg mixture over the cheddar cheese layer.

Step 8 -In a medium bowl, add the cornflakes and the melted butter and toss to coat.

Step 9 -Sprinkle the coated cornflakes over the casserole.

Step 10 -Bake the casserole until it is golden and set, about 45-50 minutes.

Step 11 -Serve.
