About
Making your own popcorn doesn’t require a giant machine or the microwave. All you need is an Instant Pot® and a hunger for a classic snack. Instant Pot Popcorn tastes fresher and fluffier than bagged popcorn, and with the same wonderful crunch. Draped in butter and seasoned to your liking, Instant Pot Popcorn is infinitely customizable, whether you coat each kernel with steak seasoning or cinnamon sugar. Honestly, the perfect pairing for this snack might just be your favorite movie!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/2 cup kernels
- salt, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Melt the butter and the coconut oil in the instant pot using the "sauté" function.
Step 2 -Add the popcorn kernels and stir until the kernels are well-coated with the coconut oil-butter mixture.
Step 3 -Put the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to the venting position. It is crucial that the valve stays in the venting position.
Step 4 -Cook the kernels for 5 minutes using the “sauté” function.
Step 5 -Press the “cancel” button to turn the pressure cooker off.
Step 6 -Carefully remove the lid. A few of the kernels may still pop after the pressure cooker is turned off.
Step 7 -Transfer the popped corn into a bowl and season with the salt.
Step 8 -Serve.
