Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk, plus more, to taste
  • 8 ounces fettuccine noodles
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves, chopped

Directions

Step 1 -In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.

Step 2 -Add the garlic to the melted butter and cook, stirring frequently, until it is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 3 -Stir the chicken broth, 1 cup of the milk, and the fettuccine into the garlic-butter.

Step 4 -Season the fettucine mixture with the salt and the pepper, then bring it to a boil.

Step 5 -Reduce the heat and simmer the fettuccine, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente, about 18-20 minutes.

Step 6 -Stir the parmesan into the fettuccine mixture. If it is too thick, add enough of the extra milk, a little at a time, to reach the desired consistency.

Step 7 -Immediately serve the fettuccine mixture, garnished with the parsley.
