Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 5 ounces cream cheese, cubed
- 6 ounces prepared chicken stuffing mix
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set it aside.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat on the stovetop, melt the butter.
Step 4 -Add the chicken to the skillet.
Step 5 -Sprinkle the chicken with the black pepper.
Step 6 -Sauté the chicken breasts until they are cooked through, registering 165 degrees F in the thickest parts, about 5 minutes on each side.
Step 7 -Place the cooked chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
Step 8 -In the same skillet, add the green beans, cooking and stirring until they are crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
Step 9 -Add the flour and stir for 1 minute.
Step 10 -Stir in the chicken broth and allow the mixture to simmer, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes.
Step 11 -Add the cream cheese and stir until melted.
