Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 pound chicken, boneless and skinless, and pounded to a 1/2-3/4 inch thickness
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
Directions
Step 1 -Combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Season both sides of the chicken pieces with the spice blend.
Step 2 -Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the cooking oil and swirl to coat the surface of the skillet.
Step 3 -Add the seasoned chicken and cook on each side until well browned and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
Step 4 -Turn the heat off and brush both sides of the chicken with BBQ sauce.
Step 5 -Let the chicken rest five minutes before slicing and serving.
