Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the butter, the granulated sugar, and the brown sugar and use an electric hand mixer to beat until it is light and fluffy.

Step 4 -Add the eggs and the vanilla to the butter mixture and beat until it is well-combined.

Step 5 -In a medium bowl, add the flour, the cinnamon, the baking powder, and the salt and whisk to combine.

Step 6 -Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat with the electric hand mixer until the batter is just combined.

Step 7 -Evenly pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

Step 8 -Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the batter.

Step 9 -Bake the bars until they are golden but still slightly soft, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 10 -Cut the bars into squares and serve.
