Some morning routines are addictive! You just have to do certain things so that the rest of the day goes well. Anyone else?! Well, try Crack Breakfast Bake for a new addition to your addictive routine and you will never go back! Flaky layers of biscuits, smoky bacon, mounds of melted cheddar cheese, and a cracked-fresh scramble of eggs are drowning in a ranch seasoning that you won't soon put aside. There are reasons routines are important. Make it a morning ritual and have Crack Breakfast Bake anytime a full-on hunger urge needs to be quenched. It is definitely more than it's cracked up to be!
Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon
- 8 frozen buttermilk biscuits, slightly thawed and halved
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 7 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 (1-ounce) package ranch dressing mix
- fresh parsley leaves, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Spray a 7x11-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 3 -In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp.
Step 4 -Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
Step 5 -Chop the bacon into small pieces.
Step 6 -Add the bottom biscuit halves in a single layer to the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with 1/2 of the cooked bacon crumbles.
Step 7 -Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheddar cheese over the bacon layer.
Step 8 -Place the remaining biscuit halves in a single layer on top of the cheddar cheese layer, then sprinkle with the remaining bacon and the remaining cheddar cheese.
Step 9 -In a large measuring cup, add the eggs, the milk, the heavy cream, and the ranch dressing mix and whisk to combine.
Step 10 -Evenly pour the egg mixture over the bake.
Step 11 -Bake the breakfast bake until the eggs are set, about 50-60 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil if it begins to brown too quickly.
Step 12 -Transfer the bake to a wire rack and let stand, about 10 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve the breakfast bake garnished with the parsley.
