But then, the topping comes along, and will definitely receive some more yums! A fluffy whipped cream cheese and bright, jammy cherry pie filling is a crowd-pleaser for sure! Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 (1.3-ounce) envelope whipped topping mix, plus the ingredients called for on the package
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Mix the butter, the flour, the granulated sugar, and the pecans until combined.

Step 3 -Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 4 -Bake until the crust is set and golden-brown, about 20-30 minutes.

Step 5 -Allow the crust to cool.

Step 6 -Prepare the whipped topping according to the package directions.

Step 7 -In a large bowl using an electric hand mixer on medium speed, combine the softened cream cheese and the powdered sugar, until smooth.

Step 8 -Gently mix the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture, being careful not to deflate it.

Step 9 -Spread the whipped mixture over the cooled crust.

Step 10 -Top the whipped mixture layer with the cherry pie filling.

Step 11 -Refrigerate the yum-yum for at least 4 hours.

Step 12 -Serve.
