Alabama Spaghetti Casserole takes some good 'ole, marinara-tossed spaghetti and adds a little Italian sausage to bring more spice, fun, and heartiness! Simple to make, but exploding with flavor, Alabama Spaghetti Casserole will have everyone hootin' and hollerin' at the supper table!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 (15-ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (16-ounce) box spaghetti, cooked
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large saucepan, add the sausage and cook, while crumbling, until the meat is no longer pink.

Step 4 -Pour the pasta sauce over the cooked sausage and stir to combine.

Step 5 -Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and stir to combine.

Step 6 -Pour 1/2 of the spaghetti mixture into the prepared casserole dish then lightly pack it down. Sprinkle it with 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers once.

Step 7 -Bake the spaghetti casserole until the cheese is bubbly, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 8 -Serve.
