Dinnertime should be when everyone comes to the table, puts their devices down, and just talks to each other. They should share with each other how they are, how their days were... all the good stuff. It's a little easier to get people to the table with Family Gathering Chicken Casserole. It has everything — buttery egg noodles, savory chicken, creamy sauce, succulent crisp bacon, and crunchy crispy-fried onions on top. Family Gathering Chicken Casserole is how you bring everyone together again.
Ingredients
- 2 cups long egg noodles, cooked
- 2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
- 2 cups corn kernels, thawed if frozen
- 1 cup milk
- 2 (10-ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and chopped
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 3/4 cup crispy-fried onions
- fresh parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Step 3 -In a medium bowl, add the cooked noodles, the chicken, the corn, the milk, the cream of chicken soup, the onions, the garlic, the cheese, the bacon, the salt, and the black pepper and stir to combine.
Step 4 -Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking pan.
Step 5 -Sprinkle the top of the chicken mixture evenly with the crispy-fried onions.
Step 6 -Bake the casserole until heated through, about 30 minutes.
Step 7 -Serve warm garnished with the parsley.
