Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 (4-ounce) chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Directions

Step 1 -In a small bowl, add the salt, the onion powder, the paprika, the Italian seasoning, the garlic powder, and the pepper and stir to combine.

Step 2 -Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Step 3 -Evenly rub the chicken breasts all over with the oil, then with the seasoning mixture.

Step 4 -Evenly pour the chicken broth over the seasoned chicken breasts.

Step 5 -Cover the slow cooker and cook the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 2-4 hours on high heat or about 8 hours on low heat.

Step 6 -Use two forks to shred the cooked chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

Step 7 -Serve.
