It's game day! Friends and family are lining up on the couch just as the teams are lining up for the snap, the play is in motion... wait a minute! Flag on the play! You don't have a snack suitable for such a momentous occasion! Get your team in gear with some Super Bowl® Bites! These simple yet scrumptious appetizers wrap tender bites of chicken with crunchy, savory, and salty bacon and then brush them with a smoky and sweet barbecue sauce. It's a simple and speedy, meaty and marvelous treat that will get your guests up and cheering! Super Bowl Bites are a touchdown!
Ingredients
- 6 strips bacon, cut crosswise into thirds
- 3/4 pound chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 3 teaspoons Montreal Steak® Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, optional
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 -Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3 -Place the bacon slices on a microwave-safe plate lined with paper towels and cover them with additional paper towels.
Step 4 -Microwave the bacon slices until they are partially cooked but not crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5 -Place the chicken in a small bowl, sprinkle it with the steak seasoning, and toss to coat.
Step 6 -Wrap a bacon piece around each chicken cube and secure with a toothpick.
Step 7 -Place the chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 8 -Bake the chicken for 10 minutes.
Step 9 -In a bowl, add the horseradish to the barbecue sauce.
Step 10 -Transfer the baking sheet from the oven and brush the sauce mixture over the wrapped chicken.
Step 11 -Bake until the chicken is cooked through at 165 degrees F and the bacon is crisp, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 12 -Serve.
