Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, plus more, to taste
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 -On a large sheet pan, add the green beans, the olive oil, and the salt and toss to combine.

Step 3 -Bake, tossing the green beans about halfway through, until the beans are crisp-tender, about 10-15 minutes.

Step 4 -Toss the green beans again, then sprinkle with the garlic and 1/4 teaspoon of the black pepper.

Step 5 -Top the green beans with the parmesan and the mozzarella.

Step 6 -Switch the oven to the broil setting.

Step 7 -Broil the beans, while watching them closely, until the cheeses have melted and are golden-brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 8 -Season the beans with the extra pepper.

Step 9 -Serve.
