A delightful harvest season needs the perfect seasonal brew to make it complete! September Cider Sangria is that drink! Fruity and earthy red wine is infused with crisp apple and orange liqueur, as well as a touch of sweet maple syrup. With a hint of orange and a cinnamon-sugar rim, September Cider Sangria will captivate from the first sip!
Ingredients
- 3 apples, sliced
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 (750-mililiter) bottle pinot noir, chilled
- 2 cups apple cider, cold
- 1/2 cup Grand Marnier® liqueur
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 orange slice, plus more, to taste, for garnish
- ice, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -In a pitcher, add the apple slices and the cinnamon sticks.
Step 2 -Add the wine, the cider, the orange liqueur, and the maple syrup to the pitcher and stir to combine.
Step 3 -Refrigerate the wine mixture for 30 minutes.
Step 4 -On a plate, add the brown sugar and the cinnamon and stir to combine.
Step 5 -Rub the rims of four serving glasses with 1 of the orange slices.
Step 6 -Dip the rims of the serving glasses in the cinnamon-sugar.
Step 7 -Fill each rimmed glass with the ice.
Step 8 -Fill each serving glass with the sangria mixture. Optionally, add 1 of the apple slices from the pitcher to each serving glass.
Step 9 -Serve garnished with the extra orange slices.
