This West Coast beauty is captured in layers of color in the glass with the golden shine of the tangy pineapple juice, smoothly transitioning into the rosy redness of the grenadine. And of course, it's infused with the sweetness of rum. The sun is rising on the Malibu Sunset.
Ingredients
- For the drink:
- ice, to taste
- 4 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces Malibu rum
- 1 ounce grenadine
- Optional garnish:
- maraschino cherries, to taste
- pineapple chunks, to taste
- blood orange slices, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Fill a glass with the ice cubes.
Step 2 -Pour the pineapple juice and the rum into the glass.
Step 3 -Tip the glass and slowly pour the grenadine along the side of it to create a layered look.
Step 4 -Garnish the glass with the maraschino cherries, the pineapple chunks, and the blood orange slices.
Step 5 -Serve.
