Fluffy, smooth, cool, and so joyously vanilla-y, Magical Rainbow Dip paints a delicious masterpiece for your taste buds with animal crackers as the brush! So easy, so quick, and a flavor that's just over the rainbow... this party is going to be amazing!
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25-ounce) package Funfetti® cake mix or similar rainbow chip cake mix
- 1 1/2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 2 cups light frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- neon gel food coloring, to taste, vibrant colors such as blue, pink, purple, green, orange, and yellow preferred
- animal crackers, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Spread the cake mix in a thin layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake the cake mix for 5 minutes. This will ensure the raw flour is cooked and is safe for consumption. Allow the cake mix to cool.
Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the cake mix, the yogurt, the whipped topping, and the vanilla and stir to combine until no lumps remain.
Step 4 -Divide the yogurt mixture evenly between four bowls.
Step 5 -Add 2-4 drops of the food coloring to each bowl and stir lightly until they are just combined. Use different colors in each bowl to achieve the rainbow effect. You can add more than 1 color to each bowl, too.
Step 6 -In a large, glass serving bowl, add all of the dyed cake mixtures and optionally swirl to combine. Do not overmix.
Step 7 -Serve with the animal crackers.
