Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (16-ounce) container cottage cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 10 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • black pepper, optional, to taste, for topping
  • hot sauce, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 -Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the melted butter, the cottage cheese, the mozzarella, the flour, the baking powder, the Italian seasoning, and the salt and whisk to combine.

Step 4 -Add the eggs to the cheese mixture and whisk until combined. The mixture will be lumpy.

Step 5 -Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Step 6 -Bake until the edges are browned and the middle is set, about 30-40 minutes.

Step 7 -Allow the bake to cool for 5-10 minutes.

Step 8 -Slice the egg bake and top with the black pepper.

Step 9 -Serve with the hot sauce.
