Her blend of tender, flavorful veggies is one of the easiest, yet tastiest dishes she whips up, and we love it very much. It's got a hint of lemon pepper seasoning to ensure our taste buds are feeling the love. She's really the best and so are Grandma's Turnips & Carrots!

Ingredients

  • 1 large turnip, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 -Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the turnips, the carrots, the olive oil, the lemon pepper, and the salt and toss until it is well-combined and the lemon pepper has dissolved.

Step 4 -Spread the vegetable mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.

Step 5 -Roast the vegetable mixture, about 30 minutes.

Step 6 -Stir the vegetable mixture, then roast again until they are soft, about 15 minutes.

Step 7 -Serve.
