The steak is marinated in bright lime juice and seasoned delicately before being grilled until rosy and juicy on the inside! Ingredients
- For the tacos:
- 1 (1-pound) flank steak
- 2 limes, juiced
- 3/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (8-count) package corn tortillas
- Optional toppings:
- avocado, to taste, sliced
- sour cream, to taste
- queso fresco, to taste
- red onion, to taste, chopped
- cilantro, to taste, minced
Directions
Step 1 -In a pan with rimmed edges, add the steak and the lime juice, ensuring to coat as much of the steak as possible.
Step 2 -Allow the steak to marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 3 -Preheat the grill to high heat.
Step 4 -In a bowl, add the cumin, the pepper, the salt, the chili powder, the smoked paprika, and the garlic powder and whisk to combine.
Step 5 -Rub the seasoning mixture on both sides of the steak.
Step 6 -Add the steak to the grill and cook, flipping it once, until the steak reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees F for medium-rare doneness, about 4 minutes per side.
Step 7 -Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees F for medium-rare doneness.
Step 8 -Slice the steak against the grain.
Step 9 -Warm the tortillas, according to the package directions.
Step 10 -Add the steak slices evenly to the warmed tortillas.
Step 11 -Serve the tacos with your favorite toppings.
