The bread is simple and tasty with a slight tang that complements the fragrance and savory flavor of the garlic salt! Ingredients
- 1 cup self-rising flour, plus more, to taste
- 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- cooking spray, to taste
- garlic salt, to taste
- fresh parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3 -In a medium bowl or in the bowl of a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment, add 1 cup of the self-rising flour and the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms and begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl. If the dough seems too dry, add the extra flour, a little at a time.
Step 4 -Using the extra flour, dust a piece of parchment paper.
Step 5 -Turn out the dough onto the prepared parchment paper.
Step 6 -Gently press the dough into a rectangle shape, about 10x5 inches in size.
Step 7 -Using a sharp knife, cut the dough into 8 breadsticks.
Step 8 -Transfer the breadsticks to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 9 -Spray the top of the breadsticks with the cooking spray.
Step 10 -Sprinkle the tops of the breadsticks with the garlic salt.
Step 11 -Bake the breadsticks until the tops are lightly golden-brown, about 17-19 minutes.
Step 12 -Transfer the breadsticks from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Step 13 -Serve garnished with the parsley.
