Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage
  • 1 (30-ounce) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar Ragú® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 2 (4-ounce) cans chopped green chiles, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • green onions, to taste, sliced, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.

Step 2 -In a 4-quart slow cooker, add the cooked sausage, the hash browns, the sour cream, the cheese sauce, the green chiles, and the crushed red pepper flakes and stir to combine.

Step 3 -Cover the slow cooker and cook the hash browns on low heat until they are heated through, about 5-6 hours.

Step 4 -Serve the hash browns garnished with the green onions.
