Lasagna Grilled Cheese decides the best solution to giving that Sunday evening experience any time you want is to fill grilled cheese with a full slice of lasagna! All that tender, cheesy goodness is sprinkled with extra mozzarella and then melted between two slices of butter bread! Cheesy, rich, and satisfying, Lasagna Grilled Cheese makes even the most tiresome Monday lunch fun!

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • paprika, to taste
  • 4 slices butter bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 servings prepared lasagna, store-bought or leftover
  • parsley, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -In a small bowl, add the butter, the garlic, and the paprika and mix well to combine.

Step 2 -Smear 1 side of each slice of the bread with the butter mixture.

Step 3 -Place 2 of the bread slices, buttered-side down, on a plate and sprinkle with about 1/4 cup of the mozzarella cheese on each of the slices.

Step 4 -Layer 1 serving of the lasagna onto the mozzarella layer on each slice of the bread.

Step 5 -Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top of the lasagna servings.

Step 6 -Close the sandwiches with the remaining bread slices, placing them buttered-side up on top of the mozzarella cheese layer.

Step 7 -Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Step 8 -Add the sandwiches and cook, flipping them once, until golden-brown and crispy on both sides, and the lasagna is warmed through, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 9 -Slice the sandwiches into half.

Step 10 -Serve garnished with the parsley.
