Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops, bone-in or out
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar or any white vinegar
  • parsley, optional, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven broiler or grill on medium-high heat.

Step 2 -Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 3 -Heat the oil in an oven-safe pan or skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Step 4 -Sear the chops until golden and cooked through at 145 degrees F, about 4-5 minutes per side.

Step 5 -Transfer the chops to a plate and set them aside.

Step 6 -Reduce the heat to medium.

Step 7 -Melt the butter in the same skillet, scraping up any browned bits on the bottom.

Step 8 -Sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Step 9 -Add the honey, broth, and vinegar.

Step 10 -Increase the heat to medium-high and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reduces down and thickens slightly, for about 3-4 minutes.

Step 11 -Add the pork back into the pan and baste them generously with the sauce.

Step 12 -Broil or grill the pork until the edges are slightly charred, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 13 -Garnish with parsley and serve!
