Behold! A landscape of rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and crumbly cookie bits right on your table! The only thing truly spooky here is how good the Cookies and Scream tastes. With decorative marshmallows to add that charming Halloween silliness, it's a mouthwateringly fun treat that takes less than 30 minutes to make!
Ingredients
- 1 (12 ounce) box woven grain cereal, such as Chex
- 1 (12 ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 5 cups chocolate wafer cookie, smashed into crumbs
- For decorating:
- marshmallow ghosts, cats, pumpkins, etc.
- gummy worms
Directions
Step 1 -Empty the grain cereal into a large bowl, then set aside.
Step 2 -Melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter together in a saucepan over low heat until combined.
Step 3 -Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal, tossing to ensure it's thoroughly coated.
Step 4 -Add in 4 cups of the chocolate wafer cookie crumbs, tossing to coat.
Step 5 -Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
Step 6 -Then sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cookie crumbs over the top.
Step 7 -Cover and let set in the fridge.
Step 8 -Once set, decorate the graveyard with gummy worms, marshmallow ghosts, etc. Slice and serve.
