Simple and delicious, add some rich cream cheese, creamy mayonnaise, zesty scallions, exciting garlic, a dash of hot sauce, a splash of orange juice (wait, you read that, right?!) and your favorite sharp cheddar cheese... and just like that you have yourself a party in a bowl! The perfect flavor addition for those moments when a carrot stick alone just isn't cutting it, Cheddar Scallion Dip tastes great with all the things you love to dip with! Ingredients

  • For the dip:
  • 1/2 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, room temperature and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced, plus more, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, plus more, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 small clove garlic, mashed to a paste
  • hot sauce, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice, plus more, to taste
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely grated
  • For serving:
  • carrot sticks, to taste
  • celery sticks, to taste
  • crackers, to taste
  • French baguette, to taste, sliced

Directions

Step 1 -In a food processor, add the cream cheese, the mayonnaise, 1 of the sliced scallions, 1/4 teaspoon of the salt, the black pepper, the paprika, the mashed garlic, and the hot sauce and process until it is smooth.

Step 2 -Add 2 tablespoons of the orange juice to the dip mixture and process until it is smooth.

Step 3 -Add the sharp cheddar cheese to the dip mixture and process to combine. If it seems too thick, add a small amount of the extra orange juice and process to combine.

Step 4 -Taste the dip and season with the extra salt and the black pepper, as needed. Stir to combine.

Step 5 -Sprinkle the extra scallions over the dip.

Step 6 -Serve the dip with your preferred dippers.
