Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3-18-ounce) box fudge brownie mix, plus the ingredients called for on the package
  • 1 3/4 cups cold 2% milk
  • 2 (3.4-ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee, cold
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1 (1.4-ounce) chocolate-toffee candy bar, such as Heath®, crushed

Directions

Step 1 -Prepare the brownie batter and bake in an 8-inch square baking pan according to the package directions.

Step 2 -Allow the brownies to cool.

Step 3 -Cut the brownies into 1-inch square pieces.

Step 4 -In a large bowl, add the milk and the pudding mix until thickened, about 2 minutes.

Step 5 -Add the coffee and stir to combine.

Step 6 -Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture.

Step 7 -In a trifle bowl or a 2-quart glass bowl, add 1/3 of the brownie pieces in a single layer.

Step 8 -Add 1/3 of the pudding mixture over top of the brownie layer.

Step 9 -Sprinkle 1/3 of the crushed candy bar over top of the pudding layer.

Step 10 -Repeat the layers twice, ending with the remaining crushed candy bar.

Step 11 -Chill the trifle in the refrigerator, about 3-4 hours.

Step 12 -Serve.
