Hopefully you have a bottomless pot because everyone will be begging for spoonful after spoonful of More-Please Pasta! Tossed in a creamy, cheesy sauce, the bow tie pasta mixed with fresh veggies creates a dish that no one can ever get enough of. It's a good thing More-Please Pasta is quick and easy to make, because it disappears so quickly! You can be confident knowing everyone will love this one!
Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) box bow tie pasta
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16-ounce) carton cremini mushrooms, sliced
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 8 ounces spinach
- 2 1/4 cups half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 1 cup parmesan, freshly grated, plus more, to taste, for serving
- red chili flakes, optional, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook the bow tie pasta until it is just shy of al dente, according to the package directions.
Step 2 -Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
Step 3 -While the pasta is cooking, in a large skillet over medium heat, add the oil.
Step 4 -Add the garlic to the heated oil and cook until it becomes fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 5 -Add the mushrooms, the salt, and the pepper to the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden and tender, about 8 minutes.
Step 6 -Add the spinach to the mushroom-garlic mixture and cook until the leaves have wilted.
Step 7 -Pour the half-and-half into the spinach mixture and bring it to a gentle boil.
Step 8 -Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce until it has slightly thickened, about 4 minutes.
Step 9 -Add the bow tie pasta, the parsley, and 1 cup of the parmesan to the sauce and toss until it is well-combined.
Step 10 -Gradually add the reserved pasta water to the pasta mixture and cook, while tossing, until the pasta is well-coated and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 11 -Taste the pasta mixture and season with the salt and the pepper, as needed. Stir to combine.
Step 12 -Serve topped with the extra parmesan and the red chili flakes.
