Ingredients

  • 1 medium whole-wheat pita bread
  • olive oil cooking spray, to taste
  • garlic salt, to taste
Editor's Notes:

Don't worry if they seem a little pliable when you take them out of the oven. They will crisp up in about 1 minute after coming out of the oven.

Directions

Step 1 -Set your oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Open the pita and separate it into 2 whole pieces.

Step 3 -Cut each piece into quarters and stack the quarters.

Step 4 -Cut each stack into 5 triangles, so that you have a total of 20 pieces.

Step 5 -Lay the pita triangles on a cooking sheet in a single layer.

Step 6 -Spray each triangle with the cooking spray.

Step 7 -Sprinkle the garlic salt lightly on each of the triangles.

Step 8 -Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake until the edges of the pita chips are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 9 -Serve.
