- 1 pound deli roast beef, sliced and coarsely chopped
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 3 -Add the onions and the peppers to the melted butter and cook, while stirring, until they become soft and the onions become transparent, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 4 -Add the roast beef to the onion-pepper mixture and cook, while stirring, until the roast beef is hot, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5 -Add the cream cheese and stir until the cream cheese is melted and coats the roast beef-veggie mixture.
Step 6 -Transfer the skillet from the heat.
Step 7 -Separate the crescent dough into the respective perforated triangles and press each slightly so they are flat.
Step 8 -Cut each slice of the Swiss cheese into 4 strips.
Step 9 -Lay 1 of the cheese strips over each of the crescent triangles.
Step 10 -Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the roast beef-veggie mixture onto each of the triangles.
Step 11 -Roll the crescent triangles up, pinching the sides of the crescent dough to completely encase the filling.
Step 12 -Place the crescent rolls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 13 -Bake until the crescent dough is golden-brown, about 10-13 minutes.
Step 14 -Serve.
