Ingredients• 1 pound ground beef • 1 large onion, chopped • 1 medium green pepper, chopped • 1 (14.5 ounce) can tomatoes, diced and undrained • 1 cup water • 2 tablespoons chili powder • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed • 1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained • salt, to taste • pepper, to taste • 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish
Cook the beef, onion, and green pepper over medium heat in a large pan or skillet until the beef is brown, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, water, and chili powder into the meat mixture.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the peas, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
Stir in the spaghetti.
Layer about half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheddar cheese over the mixture in the baking dish.
Repeat the layers, so that the cheese is on top.
Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
