Ingredients• 1/2 cup canola oil, plus more if needed • 1 cup all-purpose flour • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt • 3 teaspoons ground black pepper, or to taste • 3 pounds cube steaks • salt, to taste • 2 tablespoons butter
Using a large skillet over medium heat, heat the oil.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the seasoned salt, flour, and pepper. Set aside.
Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper to taste.
Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture, pressing down to generously coat the meat.
Add the butter into the skillet immediately before frying.
Once the butter melts, fry the steak pieces in the butter/oil mixture.
Once the bottoms are a deep golden brown, flip and cook on the other side for about 1 minute.
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
