Sparkling Blanco Sangria

Some drinks are just as beautiful to look at as they are to sip. The glow of a sunbeam through a glass of Sparkling Blanco Sangria definitely qualifies. This sweet and buzzy summertime refreshment is infused with fresh citrus, crisp apples, and floral nectarine flavors, and then it pops with sparkling wine and bright soda for a glittering gallery of tastes. The fruit glistens like jewels in the chilled brew! Sparkling Blanco Sangria is a drink of luxury, especially considering it's so quick to make. Sparkling smiles are sure to follow when you start serving these.


• 1 ounce of brandy or cognac • 1 ounce of orange liqueur • 1/3 cup superfine sugar • 1 orange, halved • 2 limes • 1 small apple, such as Fuji or Honeycrisp, peeled and chopped • 1 nectarine, chopped • 1 bottle of sparkling wine, such as Cava, Prosecco, or Champagne, chilled • 1 cup lemon-lime soda • 1 bunch of grapes, frozen, plus more for garnish • ice, enough to fill serving glasses


Step 1

In a large pitcher, combine the brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar.

Step 2

Squeeze the juice of 1 of the orange halves and 1 of the limes into the pitcher.

Step 3

Stir until the sugar dissolves.

Step 4

Slice the remaining orange half into thin slices.

Step 5

Add the orange slices, apples, and nectarines to the pitcher.

Step 6

Add the sparkling water, lemon-lime soda, and frozen grapes to the pitcher.

Step 7

Fill your chosen serving glasses with ice.

Step 8

Slice the remaining lime into thin slices.

Step 9

Add frozen grapes to the serving glasses.

Step 10

Pour the sangria into the serving glasses.

Step 11

Garnish with the chopped fruit from the pitcher or with the lime slices.
