• 1 cup all-purpose flour • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon onion powder • 1 teaspoon chili powder • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin • 4 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets • kosher salt, to taste • freshly ground black pepper, to taste • 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil, divided


Step 1

Combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and cumin in a bowl.

Step 2

Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper to your liking.

Step 3

Place each fillet in the flour mixture and dust off any excess.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet over medium heat on the stovetop.

Add 1 tablespoon of the oil.
