• 4 (4-ounce) tilapia fillets • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon pepper • 1 tablespoon olive oil • 1/4 cup butter, cubed • 1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth • 2 tablespoons lemon juice • 1/4 cup almonds, sliced


Step 1

Sprinkle the fillets with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the fillets and cook until the fish begins to just flake easily with a fork and are cooked to 145 degrees F internally, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Step 4

Transfer the fillets to a plate and keep warm.

Add the butter, wine, and lemon juice to the skillet.

Cook and stir until the butter is melted.

Step 7

Serve the fish with the sauce, sprinkled with almonds.
